Education Programme Wellbeing Support Officer

Join Kent County Council as a Wellbeing Support Officer for our Education Programme, providing one-to-one support to children and young people in various locations across Kent.
About the RoleWe are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to deliver positive outcomes for vulnerable learners. As a Wellbeing Support Officer, you will plan and deliver personalised activities to support children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, enabling them to understand and regulate their behaviours and emotions.
You will require excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage challenging situations, and the ability to communicate clearly and successfully both verbally and on written records and reports.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver one-to-one support to children and young people in various locations across Kent
- Plan and deliver personalised activities to support children with emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Enable children to understand and regulate their behaviours and emotions
- Communicate clearly and successfully with children, parents, and colleagues
- Manage challenging situations and maintain a positive attitude
We are looking for a motivated and empathetic individual who is keen to rise to the daily challenges of supporting and championing vulnerable learners. You will require a Full UK Driving Licence and be able to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner.
The successful candidate will be required to complete an assessment task virtually and submit it, followed by a face-to-face interview.
