Nurse Care Specialist

As a Registered Practical Nurse with Bayshore HealthCare Ltd., you will provide high-quality care to patients in our Kingston Transitional Care Unit. With a salary of $39-$41/hr and a $1000 SIGN ON BONUS, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a supportive environment.
About the Role- You will work under the direction of the facility charge nurse or registered nurse to provide care according to the College of Nurses of Ontario and the Standards of Practice of Bayshore HealthCare Ltd.
- Your primary responsibility will be to foster an environment of optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients.
Responsibilities:
- Client Assessment
- Client Care Plan Development and Care Coordination in consultation with other members of the health team
- Treatments (e.g., wound care, infusion therapy, medication administration, specimen handling, suctioning, oxygen therapy, enteral feeds, ostomy care, tracheostomy care, etc.)
- Maintains privacy of patient and confidentiality while care is being performed
- Maintain safety, security, and dignity of patient.
Qualifications:
- Registered Practical Nurse Diploma
- Current Registered Practical Nurse licensure in good standing with the College of Nurse of Ontario
- Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, pertussis, polio, hepatitis b
- Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past five (5) years
- Current BLS
- Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certification
- Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire
- Flexible to work day, evening, and night shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and statutory holidays
