Financial Reporting Manager

VANRATH is pleased to partner with a large Public Sector body in County Antrim, seeking an experienced Project Accountant for a 6-month interim contract with potential for a permanent position. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly supportive environment and work on new projects identified in 2025.
The successful candidate will lead a small team of finance professionals responsible for manipulating and interpreting large data sets in line with specified projects, ensuring accuracy and validity of results. They will work closely with the Head of Cost Accounting to analyse and present results to Senior Management, providing recommendations for improvements and cost savings.
This role is ideal for a data-driven Accountant who can bring numbers to life, with a strong background in financial reporting and analysis, as well as supervisory experience. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a similar role, with strong IT skills including MS Excel and Power BI (beneficial).
Main Responsibilities
• Supervise a small team of data analysts to ensure daily tasks are completed
• Review and validate financial reporting results
• Analyse trends & patterns and produce accurate financial reports for senior management
• Present & discuss financial figures to senior leaders, making recommendations on areas for improvement
• Ad hoc project accounting
What You'll Get
A competitive salary of £43,000 - £50,000 per annum, plus the opportunity to secure a permanent contract after the initial 6-month period. Immediate start available.
