Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in supporting the clinical team at Riverside Surgery, working closely with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities- Lead improvements in medication management to maximize safe and cost-effective prescribing practices.
- Assist patients in getting the best from their medications by switching to approved protocols and promoting repeat dispensing and online ordering.
- Minimize clinical risk and reduce wasted medicines through efficient prescribing processes.
- Encourage the development of better understanding of medication optimization principles among practice teams.
- Promote good practice in line with therapeutic developments and national requirements.
Riverside Surgery is a purpose-built practice with a branch surgery located in Broughton. We are a dispensing practice with a pharmacy attached at both sites, employing a team of healthcare professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Skills and Qualifications- Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- NVQ Level 3 or higher in Pharmacy Services or BTEC qualification.
- Experience working in a pharmacy or primary/secondary care setting.
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Packages.
