Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in supporting the clinical team at Riverside Surgery, working closely with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing expert advice on medicines and medication management to patients and healthcare professionals
- Leading improvements in prescribing practices to optimize patient care and reduce waste
- Supervising and mentoring pharmacy staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver excellent patient care
- Participating in data collections and audits to ensure the pharmacy service is meeting national standards
- Working collaboratively with the pharmacy team to achieve national requirements and implement NICE guidelines
Riverside Surgery is a purpose-built practice in the heart of Brigg, with a branch surgery in Broughton. We are a dispensing practice with a pharmacy attached, and our team of healthcare professionals is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care. We are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment, and we are excited to welcome a new Pharmacy Technician to our team.
Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Experience of working in a pharmacy or primary/secondary care setting
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages
