Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in supporting the clinical team at Riverside Surgery, working closely with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert advice on medicines and medication management to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Leading improvements to prescribing practices to ensure safe and effective use of medicines
  • Supervising and mentoring pharmacy staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver excellent patient care
  • Participating in data collections and audits to monitor and improve medicines management services
  • Working collaboratively with the pharmacy team to achieve national requirements and implement NICE guidelines
About Us

Riverside Surgery is a purpose-built practice in Brigg, with a branch surgery in Broughton. We are a dispensing practice with a pharmacy attached, and our team includes five GP partners, four ANPs, and a multi-professional administration team. We are committed to delivering person-centred, coordinated care to our patients, and we are looking for a skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Professional registration with the GPhC
  • NVQ Level 3 or higher in Pharmacy Services or a BTEC qualification
  • Experience of working in a pharmacy or primary/secondary care setting
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages
