About the Role
The Pharmacy Technician will play a vital role in supporting the Primary Care Network (PCN) in delivering person-centred, coordinated care across the Network. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading improvements to maximise safe, cost-effective best practice in prescribing to improve the quality of patient care.
Main Responsibilities
The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for:
- Identifying patients' pharmaceutical care needs and referring to the PCN Pharmacist where appropriate
- Providing patients with advice on medicines and aids to meet their individual needs
- Communicating with pharmacy staff, nursing and medical staff in dealing with prescription queries and discrepancies
- Supervising, teaching or mentoring less experienced staff
- Participating in data collections and audit of medicines management service
About Us
Riverside Surgery is a purpose-built practice in the centre of Brigg with a branch surgery located in Broughton. We are a dispensing practice with a pharmacy attached at both sites. Our team includes five GP partners, four ANPs, and a multi-professional administration team.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of working in a pharmacy
- Experience of working in primary or secondary care
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Packages
- Professional Registration with GPhC
- NVQ Level 3 or Higher In Pharmacy Services or BTEC Qualification
