About the Role
The Pharmacy Technician will play a vital role in our Primary Care Network, working closely with clinical pharmacists, community pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead improvements to maximise safe, cost-effective best practice in prescribing to improve patient care.
- Help patients get the best from their medicines by switching medications to agreed and approved protocols.
- Improve repeat prescribing processes in General Practice, including promotion of repeat dispensing and online ordering.
- Minimise clinical risk and reduce wasted medicines.
- Encourage the development of better understanding of medicines optimisation principles throughout the practice teams.
About Us
Riverside Surgery is a purpose-built practice in the centre of Brigg, with a branch surgery located in Broughton. We are a dispensing practice with a pharmacy attached at both sites, and we employ a team of healthcare professionals, including GPs, nurses, and pharmacists.
Person Specification
- Experience of working in a pharmacy or primary/secondary care setting.
- Professional registration with the GPhC.
- NVQ Level 3 or higher in Pharmacy Services or BTEC qualification.
