Job Description

St Thomas Newcastle is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Children and Family Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering our vision in the City of Newcastle, specifically by engaging with families and children in the good news of Jesus through the work of St Thomas.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a vision for reaching and discipling children and families, encouraging children to engage with the Church and vice versa.
  • Support innovative mission and discipleship amongst children within St Thomas and the wider church community.
  • Work closely with the St Thomas staff team and the Diocesan Children and Youth Team to achieve our objectives.
Requirements
  • A Christian fully committed to the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • Experience of working with children and families in a local church context.
  • A desire to put the interests of children as a priority and help them grow and find faith.
