About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and caring individual to join our team as a Care Support Assistant - Community Outreach. As a personal assistant to Joshua, a 12-year-old young boy with Autism, learning difficulties, and a chromosome disorder, you will be responsible for supporting him in exploring his community facilities and encouraging his social engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To accompany Joshua to local parks and swimming pools, promoting his physical activity and enjoyment.
  • To assist Joshua with toileting needs, ensuring his comfort and dignity.
  • To provide one-to-one support, helping Joshua to develop his social skills and independence.

Requirements:

  • Able to work 4 hours per week, including weekends, flexible scheduling available.
  • Experience working with children with Autism, calm and patient demeanor essential.
  • Calmly accommodate Joshua's repetitiveness, providing a supportive environment.
  • A car driver is preferred, but not necessary, as Joshua has a Motability car.
