At North East Ambition, we are seeking a Family Support Specialist to join our team. As a Family Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting students and families with complex needs where a range of factors are contributing to poor attendance at school and indicating that students are at risk of poor outcomes.
Your primary responsibility will be to promote positive partnerships between home, school, and our wider community. You will work closely with students, families, and other professionals to identify and address the root causes of poor attendance and develop strategies to support students in reaching their full potential.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience of working with children and young people with SEMH and challenging behaviours. You will also need to possess excellent interpersonal skills, a positive and solution-focused attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
As a Family Support Specialist, you will have access to a range of therapeutic interventions and support services to help students manage their behaviours and develop coping strategies. You will also be part of a wider team that provides additional support and guidance to students and families.
