Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to provide a flexible counselling service to children and young people facing grief and loss. The successful candidate will work alongside the Bereavement Coordinator to co-ordinate the Hospice's Bereavement Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a flexible counselling service to children and young people facing grief and loss
  • Work alongside the Bereavement Coordinator to co-ordinate the Hospice's Bereavement Service
  • Support and advise patients and carers to enable them to support children and young people in their family

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Child Counselling
  • Member of BACP
  • Significant post-qualification experience in counselling or equivalent
  • Palliative care experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent organisational skills
