Company Overview:

East Lothian Council is seeking a highly skilled Senior Practitioner to join their team of social workers. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality practice in children's services, working with vulnerable children, young people, and families.

Job Description:

The Senior Practitioner will promote relationship-based practice, using the Signs of Safety framework, and work collaboratively with multi-agency teams to achieve best outcomes for children and families. This role requires a qualified social worker with excellent communication and report writing skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified social work Senior Practitioner
  • Sound value base and comprehensive knowledge of children and families' social work role and responsibilities
  • Post-qualifying award desirable
  • Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • PVG/Disclosure Requirements: Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is approximately £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, the successful candidate will also receive a range of benefits, including a full current driving license and access to a vehicle.
