Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Childcare Specialist to join our team at Oldham Council. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with children and families from diverse backgrounds, promoting inclusivity and respect.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individual risk assessments, homes support plans, and care plans. They will also assist young people in dealing with behavioural, emotional, or other difficulties, while maintaining knowledge of safeguarding principles.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, monitor, and review individual risk assessments, homes support plans, and care plans.
  • Assist young people in addressing behavioural, emotional, or other challenges.
  • Participate in the professional life of the home and collaborate with the residential staff team.
  • Support young people in developing skills and confidence for independent living.
  • Accurately complete relevant records and files in accordance with statutory requirements and home policies.
