Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Initial Response Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health difficulties.
Your primary responsibilities will include triaging and assessing individuals over the phone and in the community, identifying appropriate community services, and working alongside the police to support patients in need.
We are looking for a confident and experienced practitioner with a strong understanding of mental health care and treatment pathways. If you have a passion for delivering evidence-based interventions and working in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Triage and assess individuals with mental health difficulties over the phone and in the community
- Identify and connect individuals with appropriate community services
- Work with the police to support patients in need
- Recognised Core Mental Health Professional Qualification (e.g. RMN, Dip SW, OT)
- In-depth knowledge of mental health problems and issues affecting individuals
- Experience of post-qualification clinical work with service users
