Service Charge Accountant

Pinnacle Property Management, a renowned Residential Leasehold Property Management company, is seeking a Service Charge Accountant to join their team. This is a fantastic career opportunity with an excellent package. As a Service Charge Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of client accounting operations for leasehold properties, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and present service charge budgets, financial reports, and client accounts.
- Collaborate with property managers and finance teams to resolve client accounting queries and discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collection of service charges, and reconciliation of accounts.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary contact for accounting-related matters.
- Implement robust internal controls to safeguard client funds and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate audits with auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with accounting standards and lease agreements.
- Lead and mentor the client accounting team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Significant experience in client accounting, ideally within property management or real estate sectors.
- Strong knowledge of service charge budgets, financial reporting, and accounting principles (e.g., UK GAAP or IFRS).
- Proven ability to lead and develop a client accounting team, fostering collaboration and high performance.
- Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships and providing excellent client service.
- Advanced analytical skills to interpret financial data, monitor performance, and provide strategic insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Ability to resolve complex accounting issues and discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and ability to ensure compliance with accounting standards and lease agreements.
