Primary School Behavioural Support Position

Mainstream Primary School is seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join its team.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with an interest in supporting children with challenging behaviour.

  • Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
About the Job:

The ideal candidate will have excellent behavioural management skills, be committed to improving the life of a challenging young person, and be able to adapt their approach and strategies to meet the specific needs of each individual.

The Behaviour Support Assistant role involves implementing Behaviour Intervention Plans, providing emotional support and guidance to students, collaborating with teachers and other professionals, and maintaining accurate records of student progress and behaviour.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Implement Behaviour Intervention Plans (BIPs)
    • Provide emotional support and guidance to students
    • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop strategies for improving student behaviour
    • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field
  • Experience working with children with challenging behaviour
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work as part of a team and build strong relationships with staff, students, and parents
