About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Specialist SEND Teacher to join our well-resourced Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) within a mainstream Sixth Form in Enfield.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Autistic pupils and possess Qualified Teacher Status, with expertise in teaching Autistic Spectrum Disorder pupils and Developmental Language Disorder.

Our school has a Speech and Language Base for students with an EHCP, and we use a collaborative approach between staff and parents to support pupils with a range of opportunities.

You will be part of an experienced team of teachers and support staff, with access to a range of training and collaboration to develop your teaching practice.

About the Job

This is a dynamic and specialised learning environment for students with an EHCP and Developmental Language Disorder, based on the Attention Autism Approach.

You will teach a maximum of 10 students in the base, with the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and engage learners through a variety of activities.

As a Specialist SEND Teacher, you will work closely with the school's inclusive team to promote independence and social skills for our students.

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience teaching Autistic Spectrum Disorder pupils and Developmental Language Disorder
  • Experience in all or some of the following: Attention Autism, TEACCH, Makaton, PECS
