The Position: As an Academic Support Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational and pastoral support to SEND pupils. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement tailored plans to meet the individual needs of each student.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted academic support to SEND pupils to help them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students, as well as whole-class teaching
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and carers
  • Contribute to the development of new initiatives and programs to improve pupil outcomes
