Job Title: Clinical Psychologist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist Specialist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist Specialist, you will be responsible for providing a specialist psychology service to adults with sickle cell disease or thalassaemia.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, and monitoring of outcomes for adults with sickle cell disease or thalassaemia.
  • Work as an autonomous professional within BPS and HCPC guidelines and codes of conduct.
  • Provide operational line management and clinical supervision to the Band 7 psychologist.
Requirements:
  • Entry-level qualification in Applied Psychology (professional Doctorate, or combination of MSc plus PG Diploma level additional training) that has been accepted by the HCPC for purposes of professional registration.
  • Additional training in a specialised area of psychological practice through formal post-qualification training (PG Diploma or equivalent).
  • Completed training course in clinical supervision.
  • Registered with the HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist, and evidence of continuing professional development as required by the HCPC.

We offer a supportive and innovative environment, with established support structures in place, including regular clinical supervision and close working relationships from across departments within King's College Hospital.
