We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist Specialist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist Specialist, you will be responsible for providing specialist psychological services to adults with sickle cell disease or thalassaemia.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide specialist assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, and monitoring of outcomes for adults with sickle cell disease or thalassaemia.
- Work as an autonomous professional within BPS and HCPC guidelines and codes of conduct.
- Provide operational line management and clinical supervision to the Band 7 psychologist.
- Entry-level qualification in Applied Psychology (professional Doctorate, or combination of MSc plus PG Diploma level additional training) that has been accepted by the HCPC for purposes of professional registration.
- Additional training in a specialised area of psychological practice through formal post-qualification training (PG Diploma or equivalent).
- Completed training course in clinical supervision.
- Registered with the HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist, and evidence of continuing professional development as required by the HCPC.
King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a designated specialist centre for patients with haemoglobinopathies caring for over 800 adults with sickle cell disease. We provide inpatient, outpatient, and day unit services, working closely with the paediatric team and other specialties.
We offer a supportive and innovative environment, with established support structures in place, including regular clinical supervision and close working relationships from across departments within King's College Hospital.
