Job Title: Clinical Psychologist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist Specialist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a specialist in adult clinical health psychology, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality psychology service to adults with sickle cell disease or thalassaemia.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment to adults with sickle cell disease or thalassaemia, including neuropsychological assessment and cognitive behavioural therapy.
  • Work as an autonomous professional within BPS and HCPC guidelines and codes of conduct, taking responsibility for own work and treatment decisions.
  • Provide operational line management and clinical supervision to junior psychologists.
Requirements:
  • Entry-level qualification in Applied Psychology, accepted by the HCPC for professional registration.
  • Additional training in a specialised area of psychological practice, such as clinical supervision or cognitive behavioural therapy.
  • Registered with the HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist, with evidence of continuing professional development.
