Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relations: Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and satisfaction. Address client inquiries and provide expert guidance on personal tax issues.
  • Tax Compliance: Supervise the preparation and filing of self-assessment tax returns for a varied client portfolio. Ensure adherence to tax laws and deadlines.
  • Advisory Services: Offer tax planning and advisory services, identifying potential tax savings and advising clients on the implications of tax regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Assist the Tax Manager in overseeing and mentoring junior staff. Review their work and provide constructive feedback to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Technical Knowledge: Keep abreast of the latest tax legislation and developments. Share insights with the team and clients to ensure they are informed of changes affecting their tax situations.
  • Workflow Coordination: Help manage team workflow, ensuring timely completion of tasks and efficient operations.
  • Business Growth: Contribute to the firm's expansion by identifying new business opportunities and engaging in business development initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a personal tax role, ideally at a senior or managerial level.
  • Qualifications: ATT/CTA qualified or equivalent.
  • Skills: Strong technical expertise in personal tax and compliance. Excellent client management abilities with effective communication skills.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a team, mentoring junior staff and contributing to overall team success.
  • Proactive Mindset: A proactive approach to work, with the ability to spot opportunities for clients and the business.
