Key Responsibilities:

- Tax Compliance Oversight: Supervise the preparation and filing of self-assessment tax returns for a varied client base. Ensure adherence to tax laws and deadlines.
- Advisory Expertise: Offer tax planning and advisory services, identifying potential tax savings and advising clients on the implications of tax regulations.
- Team Leadership: Assist the Tax Manager in mentoring and supervising junior staff. Review their work, providing constructive feedback to uphold high standards.
- Technical Knowledge: Keep abreast of the latest tax legislation and developments. Share insights with the team and clients to ensure they are informed of any changes affecting their tax situations.
- Workflow Coordination: Help manage team workflow, ensuring timely completion of tasks and accuracy in all outputs.
- Business Growth: Contribute to the firm’s expansion by identifying new business opportunities and engaging in business development initiatives.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in a personal tax role, ideally at a senior or managerial level.
- Qualifications: ATT/CTA qualified or equivalent.
- Skills: Strong technical expertise in personal tax and compliance, with excellent client management abilities and effective communication skills.
- Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team, mentoring junior staff and contributing to overall team success.
- Proactive Mindset: A proactive approach to work, with the capability to identify opportunities for clients and the business.
