Job Overview

The role involves collaborating closely with the Head Teacher and the educational staff within the institution.
You will be responsible for supervising the janitorial team assigned to the facility and the associated support group.
The position requires performing cleaning duties alongside minor repair and maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

- Establish work priorities in consultation with the Head Teacher and the staff.
- Manage, coordinate, and oversee the activities of janitorial personnel within the facility.
- Ensure the janitorial staff in the support group are effectively managed and coordinated.
- Provide a high-quality and efficient service aligned with the overall objectives of the institution.
- Execute operational responsibilities within the facility.
- Carry out technical tasks as required.
- Adhere to Health and Safety regulations, ensuring safe working practices and proper operation of all equipment.

Candidate Profile

- Proven experience in a school setting.
- Background in property maintenance and care.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with diverse groups.
- Competent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Skills in planning and scheduling work effectively.
- Capacity to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Self-motivated and confident in working without direct supervision.
- Basic handyman skills for maintenance tasks.
- Full clean driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Knowledge of Health, Safety, and building security protocols.
- Understanding of customer care standards and operational procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Capability to manage conflicting workloads efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an approachable demeanor.
- Ability to foster productive working relationships.
- Physical capability to move furniture and equipment in accordance with handling regulations.
- Flexibility to adapt to the service's needs, including working outside of standard hours.

Compensation

Starting Salary: £26,80
36.25 hours per week
