About the Role

Oxfam is a leading international charity that works to alleviate poverty and suffering around the world. As a Deputy Shop Manager, you will play a crucial role in the success of our retail operations, working closely with the Shop Manager to drive sales, manage stock, and lead a team of volunteers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Shop Manager in the day-to-day running of the shop, including managing stock, processing sales, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Lead and motivate a team of volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure they are able to perform their roles effectively.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and improve customer engagement.
  • Manage the shop's administrative tasks, including maintaining records, processing payments, and handling customer complaints.
  • Work collaboratively with the Shop Manager and other colleagues to achieve business objectives and improve overall performance.
Requirements
  • Commercial awareness and experience in a retail environment.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of volunteers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
