Position Overview

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is looking to fill two Clinical Fellow positions in the field of Reproductive Medicine for a duration of one year. These roles will focus on delivering specialized care in IVF at a leading fertility center. The successful candidates will engage in various responsibilities, including assisting with outpatient consultations, conducting investigative and treatment scans, supporting egg collection procedures, and participating in daily multidisciplinary team meetings.

Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Fellow will be involved in:

  • Providing comprehensive support for both outpatient and inpatient services.
  • Participating in outpatient consultations, which may be conducted virtually.
  • Conducting investigative and treatment ultrasound sonography.
  • Assisting in day-case egg collection procedures and embryo transfer lists.
  • Attending daily results meetings to ensure effective communication within the team.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation to uphold governance standards in regulated IVF care.

One of the positions will include participation in an on-call rota, while the other will not require on-call duties.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, ensuring compliance with GMC registration.
  • Contribute to a professional and compassionate Reproductive Medicine program.
  • Develop and maintain the necessary competencies for the role.
  • Engage patients in their care decisions and respond to their feedback.
  • Broaden expertise in all areas of Reproductive Medicine, including assisted conception and endocrinology.
  • Participate in clinical audits and initiatives to enhance clinical effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with academic and clinical colleagues to support research initiatives.
  • Provide high-quality education to medical students and other healthcare professionals.
  • Work with colleagues to ensure high performance in clinical efficiency and quality outcomes.
  • Engage in research opportunities and contribute to national clinical trials.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

  • Registered with the GMC and possess a Licence to Practice.
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise in the relevant specialty.
  • Proficient in IT and computer skills.
  • Experience in teaching and training medical students and junior staff.
  • Understanding of clinical audit principles.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.

Desirable:

  • Membership in a relevant Royal College.
