We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a seasoned Sales Development Specialist to join our esteemed Blakemore Trade Partners Team. In this role, you will be responsible for nurturing and expanding our existing client base while overseeing the execution of Trade Partner initiatives and ensuring compliance with the standards set by A.F. Blakemore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulating effective retail business plans, operational objectives, and budgets in collaboration with retailers.
  • Assessing retailers' adherence to recognized operational standards and facilitating improvements as necessary.
  • Evaluating retailer performance and driving enhancements in partnership with the team.
  • Managing accounts receivable and closely coordinating with head office regarding identified issues.
  • Providing retailers with insights and support for the implementation of new developments and initiatives.
  • Advising retailers on general business matters and relevant legislation (e.g., health and safety, training, employment law).
  • Building strong working relationships with individual retailers and their teams while upholding the needs of the AFB Group.
  • Identifying challenges that may impact a retailer's ability to operate or meet financial obligations to AFB Group and reporting these to head office.
  • Facilitating the successful integration of new retailers as they transition from recruitment.
  • Supporting the Regional Sales Manager by representing the Sales Department in project groups.

Essential Qualifications

  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Solid understanding of Retail Operations
  • Exceptional customer service abilities
  • A genuine passion for Retail
  • Highly self-motivated and driven
  • Experience in Account/Field Management

Desirable Qualifications

  • Business Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in Retail Management
