Practice Development Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nurse Education Site Team Leader to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in promoting clinical excellence and educational development for our staff.
Key Responsibilities- Support the safety and quality of care delivered within the site through promoting up-to-date education and support for staff.
- Provide direct training in a variety of forms, undertake clinical audits and research, and critically analyze and review teaching resources and opportunities for staff.
- Work closely with the Barts Health Education Academy and Higher Education Institutes to embed developmental opportunities.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders within each division and other site leaders to achieve clinical excellence for our patients and educational excellence for our staff.
- Adult NMC Registration
- Educated to degree level
- Postgraduate qualification in academic practice/education or willingness to work towards it
- Mentorship in Practice or Practice Assessor qualification
- Evidence of continuing professional development and short courses
- Immediate Life Support
- Master's degree level or study in progress
- Management/leadership qualification or equivalent
- Extensive nursing clinical experience in a relevant field at senior level, and ability to demonstrate expert nursing skills
- Facilitation and experience in delivering training/development programmes
- Professional supervision and assessment of staff, including staff development, critical companionship, and role modeling
- Teaching in a group scenario/presenting to a group of staff
- Knowledge of NMC Code of Conduct, and the Future Nursing Standards
- Knowledge of quality, standard setting, and audit
- Ability to lead, motivate, and empower others
- Communication skills, including interpersonal skills, writing, and presentation skills
- Proven leadership skills
- Has own initiative with good organizational skills
- Experience/interest in management and implementation of change or service development in clinical practice
- Good verbal and written communication skills, and computer literacy
- Good interpersonal skills, assertive but professional
- Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful
- Ability to prioritize work, meet tight deadlines, and work independently
- Positive and effective team worker
- Ability to think strategically and plan ahead
