Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to offer a comprehensive range of health and personal care services to our patient population. Responsibilities include:
- Utilizing evidence-based practices to perform nursing duties within a general practice setting.
- Encouraging healthy lifestyle choices and participating in national immunization and screening initiatives.
- Delivering high-quality wound care and other clinical services.
- Adhering to the NMC code of professional conduct and relevant local and national policies.
Clinical Duties
The role encompasses various clinical responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Cervical cytology
- Electrocardiograms (ECG)
- Spirometry
- NHS health checks
- Postnatal care
- Wound management
- Phlebotomy
- Ear care
- Childhood immunizations and travel vaccinations
- Long-term condition management
- Family planning advice
- Hypertension monitoring
Additionally, the nurse will promote health awareness during routine screenings and manage chronic diseases effectively.
Communication Skills
Effective communication is essential in this role. The candidate must:
- Utilize various communication methods to engage with patients and their families.
