Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified Clinical Psychologist with expertise in Forensic and Counselling Psychology to enhance our dedicated team. This role is pivotal in delivering specialized psychological services to individuals within our Inpatient Rehabilitation unit.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for mentoring psychologists in training, assistant psychologists, and junior staff. You will provide advanced psychological services to clients and collaborate with various agencies, ensuring clinical leadership in psychological service planning and management, in conjunction with the Lead Psychologist and Head of Specialty.
Our well-established psychology department comprises six psychologists who work across multiple acute, rehabilitation, and low secure wards, as well as Crisis Resolution Home Treatment teams. We are committed to professional development, offering fully funded training in various therapeutic modalities.

Main Responsibilities
- Contribute to psychological assessments and treatment plans for patients in rehabilitation wards.
- Conduct risk assessments for individuals referred to our services.
- Develop and implement psychological treatment plans based on theoretical frameworks and evidence-based practices.
- Lead multidisciplinary interventions when psychological components are central.
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to psychologists within the specialty.
- Participate in relevant committees and working groups as required.
- Support the professional development of junior psychologists.
- Deliver educational sessions to other professionals and agency staff as needed.
- Manage the workloads of assistant and trainee psychologists, adhering to departmental policies.
- Assist in the recruitment process for assistant and graduate psychologists.
