Position Overview

Crane Maintenance Technician

Location: Aldermaston, Berkshire

Carbon60 is seeking a skilled Crane Maintenance Technician to become part of a dedicated team. The role involves executing scheduled maintenance and addressing faults on various cranes, lifting apparatus, roller shutter doors, and additional mechanical and electrical systems.

Compensation: Up to £45,000 per annum based on experience

Work Schedule: Includes a 9-day fortnight

*Security clearance is required and must be maintained*

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the company's core values and ethical standards at all times
  • Complete all maintenance and inspection tasks as per the planned schedule
  • Collaborate with the planning team to identify and communicate any potential task delays
  • Generate service and condition reports
  • Respond promptly and adaptively to equipment malfunctions
  • Participate in training for Appointed Person and Work Supervisory Office qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Recognized engineering qualification (ONC/HNC/HND/I.Eng)
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a lifting equipment discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in crane servicing engineering
  • Familiarity with in-service inspection protocols
  • Comprehensive understanding of Health & Safety regulations related to lifting equipment (LOER)
  • Solid knowledge of PUWER regulations
  • Possession of a valid UK driving license
