Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Utilities Operations Specialist to join our team at AWE. As a key member of our Utilities Operations team, you will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and management of our water and wastewater networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership and direction to plant works teams, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our networks.
- Plant Operation and Maintenance: Undertake the safe operation, maintenance, and management of plant under your control, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
- Alarm Monitoring and Notification: Monitor and react to all generated alarms for the plant and systems under your control, expediting notification of plant/network failures to relevant stakeholders.
- Authorised Person Duties: Undertake the role of Authorised Person within boundaries of appointment, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and corporate standards.
- Safe Systems of Work: Prepare, assess, review, and provide instruction against Safe Systems of Work for the networks/plant within boundaries of control.
- Work Supervisory Officer: Undertake the role of Work Supervisory Officer within the boundaries of your area of control, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our networks.
Requirements:
- Qualifications and Experience: Technician Apprenticeship or ONC with suitable additional experience, or equivalent qualifications and experience in a related field.
- Engineering Capability: Engineering capability across relevant networks, comprising a range of infrastructure facilities and associated plant and equipment.
- Security Clearance: Willingness and ability to apply, obtain, and maintain the required security clearance for the role.
