Job Summary:
AWE is seeking a highly skilled Utilities Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Utilities Operations team, you will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and management of our water and wastewater infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership and direction to plant works by functional/contract resources.
- Plant Operation and Maintenance: Undertake the safe operation, maintenance, and management of plant under your control and in line with legislative requirements.
- Alarm Monitoring and Notification: Monitor and react to all generated alarms for the plant and systems under your control.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Expedite notification of plant/network failures to the relevant operations manager/network manager and keep stakeholders informed.
- Authorized Person Duties: Undertake the role of authorized person within boundaries of appointment for the role.
- Personal Standards and Accountability: Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Technician apprenticeship or ONC with suitable additional experience.
- Engineering Capability: Engineering capability across relevant networks, comprising a range of infrastructure facilities and associated plant and equipment.
- Utility Experience: Experience of working with water/wastewater would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Security Clearance: Candidates must be willing and able to apply, obtain, and maintain the required security clearance for the role.
