We operate a state-of-the-art radiotherapy department, equipped with thirteen linear accelerators, including eleven Varian TrueBeam systems. Our team utilizes specialized VMAT planning techniques, such as SABR, delivered using FFF technology. We are a world leader in the implementation of model-based optimization algorithms.

Recent developments include the installation of a Varian EthosTM adaptive radiotherapy system. The successful candidate will be based at a major hospital in Glasgow, with some duties required at a satellite centre in Lanarkshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of clinical physicists and provide expert guidance on dosimetry and equipment-related matters.
  • Develop and implement service improvements relevant to the post.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the delivery of high-quality radiotherapy services.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • State registration as a Clinical Physicist.
  • Experience in managing teams and developing services.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
