About the Role

The Residence Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the Residential Provision at Hartpury University and Hartpury College. This is a varied and dynamic position that requires a caring and flexible individual who can work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Residential Provision in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of student accommodation, including communal areas and individual bedrooms.
  • Work collaboratively with the Residential Cleaning Team Supervisor to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive living environment, promoting the wellbeing and safety of all students.
  • Participate in deep cleaning activities during the summer months, ensuring that all areas of the student accommodation are thoroughly cleaned and maintained.
About You
  • You will have a caring nature and be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in the wellbeing of our students.
  • You will be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances, with a 'can do' attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • You will be able to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to your work.
  • You will have excellent time management skills and be able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • You will be able to follow instructions and guidance from the Residential Cleaning Team Supervisor.
  • You will have a good understanding of health and safety procedures and be able to apply this knowledge in your work.
