We are seeking a skilled Safety Engineer to join our team at DE&S. As a Safety Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our armed forces by providing advice, support, and guidance on engineering design and development, and management of safety risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with colleagues to ensure compliance with relevant UK and EU legislation and regulations, MOD regulations, and DE&S Policy.
  • Lead the development and management of Safety Cases at Project level.
  • Provide specialist advice on the application of Safety Management systems.
  • Lead production and contribute to Safety Management Plans.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of policy and process to satisfy the DE&S corporate standards for Acquisition Safety Management.
Requirements
  • Level 4 Qualification (HNC or NQF or above) in a relevant safety, engineering, or science discipline.
  • Experience of providing technical advice and delivery of safety products or services in a work environment.
  • Experience in the use of System Safety Management Tools and Processes.
