OPERATIONAL RISK CONSULTANT - 12 MONTH ENGAGEMENT

£75K - £80K + Bonus & Benefits London [Hybrid]

Our client, a prominent global energy distribution and trading organization, is seeking a temporary consultant to assist in the execution of their Operational Risk framework across essential and developing commercial and operational functions. Key responsibilities include:



• Offering specialized knowledge and insights to management and the broader organization regarding operational risk challenges and industry best practices.

• Acting on behalf of the Operational Risk Manager in overseeing the team and contributing to various tasks and meetings.

• Assisting in the evaluation and enhancement of existing policies and guidelines to foster risk management awareness and promote cultural and behavioral change.

• Supporting the Incident Management Framework by examining and analyzing incident reports to pinpoint control deficiencies or vulnerabilities, and documenting findings and recommendations through written reports;

• Aiding in the development and implementation of an Enterprise Risk Management framework and Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA);

• Leading internal initiatives aimed at enhancing risk controls.

• Compiling risk reports and updates and presenting this information during regular internal risk management meetings.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in external audit (Big 4) or internal audit/control or risk management within the Energy or Financial Services sectors, with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members. Relevant qualifications in accounting (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or risk and finance (FRM/ERP/CFA) are advantageous. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement.
