Position Overview: The Senior Consultant for Risk and Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) plays a pivotal role in executing a comprehensive operational risk management program across the organization.

This role requires a robust technical understanding of risk management, particularly in relation to RCSA processes and activities within the financial services sector.

The successful candidate will:

  • Manage RCSA program deliverables, including action plans, post-effectiveness testing, and control evaluations.
  • Analyze workflows to identify and mitigate risks associated with the program, enhancing the overall control environment.
  • Contribute to the development and ongoing refinement of RCSA program Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
  • Review KPI/KRI frameworks, scorecards, and dashboards to ensure the relevance and appropriateness of metrics.
  • Develop and maintain RCSA program controls, initiating projects as necessary.
  • Implement controls to mitigate process risks effectively.
  • Provide User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support for relevant systems as required.
  • Enhance the risk management culture through training and awareness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior management and business partners to coordinate operational risk management activities.
  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of program processes that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead projects aimed at improving the overall program.
  • Communicate identified risks to key stakeholders, organize remediation action plans, and track risks to resolution.

Applicants should possess strong experience in financial services, particularly in operational risk, controls, or audit. A working knowledge of audit, risk, and operational management concepts is essential, along with the ability to interpret the implications of decisions and identify potential issues.

Familiarity with systems such as Fusion and/or Salesforce, as well as experience in performing regression testing, is advantageous.
