Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practitioner Psychologist to join our Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service at St. Bartholomew's Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment to patients with Cystic Fibrosis, as well as advice and consultation to professional colleagues.

Main Duties
  • Provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment to patients with Cystic Fibrosis
  • Offer advice and consultation to professional colleagues
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans
  • Contribute to the development of psychological services within the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service
  • Participate in research and service development projects
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with experience in clinical health psychology, preferably in a Cystic Fibrosis setting. The ideal candidate will have a good honours degree in Psychology or equivalent, and completion of a Health and Care Professions Council/British Psychological Society accredited postgraduate professional training course in clinical or counselling psychology.

The successful candidate will be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist and have experience of working with adults with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
