About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practitioner Psychologist to join our Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist psychological assessment, treatment, and monitoring of outcomes for patients with cystic fibrosis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology and experience working with patients with complex physical health needs. They will be able to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients.

The Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service is a dynamic and forward-thinking team that is committed to delivering excellent patient care. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working in a busy medical environment and is able to think creatively to solve complex problems.

Main Responsibilities
  • To provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment to patients with cystic fibrosis
  • To work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients
  • To contribute to the development of the service and participate in research initiatives
  • To provide clinical supervision and training to junior staff members
Requirements
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist
  • Experience of working in a clinical psychology role, preferably in a physical health setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
