Clinical Health Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practitioner Psychologist to join our Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service at St. Bartholomew's Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment to patients under our care, as well as advice and consultation to professional colleagues.
The successful candidate will have experience in clinical health psychology, preferably in a CF setting, and will be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of client groups and present with varying levels of clinical severity.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment to patients under our care
- Offer advice and consultation to professional colleagues
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Develop and implement effective psychological interventions
- Contribute to the development of our service and the wider psychological services
- Good honours degree in Psychology or equivalent
- Completion of a Health and Care Professions Council/British Psychological Society accredited postgraduate professional training course in clinical or counselling psychology
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist
- Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
The post is a permanent Band 8a position, working Wednesday to Friday with Thursdays and Fridays being essential on-site days due to MDT clinics. You will be required to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of our service.
