About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our PlunketLine team as a Nurse Advisor. In this role, you will provide clinical advice and support to families and whānau in New Zealand with children under five, underpinned by Whānau Āwhina values and pro-equity commitment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, support, and guidance to whānau on all aspects of parenting, including well and unwell child, breastfeeding, nutrition, sleep, and behavior support.
  • Build positive relationships with callers, listening to understand their needs and concerns.
  • Communicate clinical information to a variety of audiences, including parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with the PlunketLine team to provide a high-quality service experience 24/7.
Requirements
  • Current NZ Nursing Council Annual Practicing Certificate.
  • Experience in a nursing background, such as Practice Nurses, Neonatal, Accident and Emergency, Community or Public Health nursing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Resilience and emotional intelligence to handle challenging situations.
