Job Overview

The Chief Nursing Officer will collaborate closely with the Group Chief Executive and Group Chair to lead Nurses and Midwives in delivering exceptional patient care and achieving high-quality outcomes. The post holder will serve as the principal advisor to the Group Board and executive leadership team on all professional nursing matters.

Key Responsibilities

The Chief Nursing Officer will oversee the following areas:

Specific responsibilities include:

Actively contributing to the evolution of the healthcare system. Ensuring the delivery of outstanding patient care while cultivating a culture of quality and safety, with a firm stance against poor quality. Collaborating with the deputy Medical Director to enhance clinical governance throughout the organization. Partnering with educational bodies to explore new roles and establish clear development pathways for existing positions. Advising Sub Board committees on nursing matters, ensuring accountability through performance indicators.
