About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Clinical Support Worker to join our Stroke Pathway team at Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust. As a Clinical Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our multidisciplinary team in delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communication
    • Welcome patients, visitors, and relatives to the clinical area, providing assistance, support, and information where required.
    • Answer the telephone in a polite and courteous manner and respond appropriately within remit.
    • Communicate effectively within the nursing team, multi-disciplinary team, and other departments to ensure that patient care is well planned and coordinated.
    • Contribute to the handover of patient care within the team under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Management
    • Take all reasonable steps to ensure the safe keeping of patients' property in accordance with trust policy.
    • Promote a professional, welcoming, and uncluttered environment, keeping all storage areas safe and clean and tidy.
    • Share responsibility in the care and maintenance of all equipment in the clinical area.
    • Ensure all waste and soiled linen are disposed of in line with trust policy.
  • Professional/Educational
    • Ensure up-to-date knowledge of all mandatory training sessions, including safeguarding and safeguarding supervision.
    • Have completed the Care Certificate or equivalent healthcare experience.
    • Be flexible in relation to patient requirements.
    • Continue personal development in relation to identified objectives.

    • Education to GCSE level Grade C in English and Mathematics or equivalent.
