About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Learning and Employee Engagement. This is a key leadership role that will play a critical part in shaping the future of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive learning strategy that aligns with our organizational goals and objectives.
  • Design and deliver engaging and effective learning programs that meet the needs of our employees and volunteers.
  • Lead the development of a colleague engagement strategy that fosters a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Manage and coordinate the learning and engagement budgets to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Represent our organization externally and contribute to partnerships and collaborative learning and development activities.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment of organizational communications with internal communications.
  • Lead the implementation of people interventions to develop our organizational culture, including recognition and wellbeing plans.
Requirements
  • Recognized qualification in learning and development or equivalent demonstrable job experience.
  • Experience of developing learning strategies and operational plans in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience of developing colleague engagement and internal communications strategies and operational plans.
  • Experience of leading internal communications around change, often involving highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Experience of identifying, planning, and evaluating learning and development activities across all departments in an organization.
  • Experience of leading learning and development for senior-level employees, including leadership development.
  • Project management experience, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in advising on mandatory training and compliance.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience of building relationships with external organizations and agencies.
  • Experience of supporting the embedding or developing organizational culture.
  • Experience of successful budget management.
  • Experience of working with volunteers and delivering a great volunteer engagement experience.
