Role Responsibilities

As a Unit Manager, you will play a crucial role in the clinical care delivery for residents within your designated unit. Your daily responsibilities will encompass:

  • Leading your unit's nursing and care teams to meet the comprehensive medical, physical, and emotional needs of residents.
  • Providing effective leadership to uphold and enhance care standards while fostering continuous improvement.
  • Overseeing all clinical aspects and risks associated with your unit.
  • Ensuring timely completion and review of care plans and risk assessments, accurately reflecting care interventions.
  • Acting as the Named Nurse for assigned residents, responsible for the oversight and updates of their care profiles.
  • Supervising the management of medication processes within your unit, including ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording, and disposal.

Essential qualifications include:

  • The ability to work independently with initiative.
  • A solid foundation of digital skills.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a first-level nursing registration with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN. Management or supervisory experience and/or relevant training or qualifications are also required, making this an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse aspiring to move into management.
