In this capacity, you will operate at a senior level, collaborating closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager to oversee a team of nursing and care professionals, ensuring the delivery of quality care and maintaining exceptional standards within your unit.

About the Role


As a Unit Leader with Exemplar Health Care, you will play a crucial role in the clinical care delivery for residents in your designated unit.

No two days will be identical, but your daily responsibilities will encompass:

  • Leading: Your unit's care and nursing teams to ensure we meet the medical, physical, and emotional needs of the individuals we support.
  • Providing: Strong leadership to uphold and continuously enhance high standards of care while driving ongoing improvement.
  • Overseeing: All clinical elements and risks associated with your unit.
  • Ensuring: Care plans and risk assessments are completed and reviewed promptly, accurately reflecting care interventions.
  • Acting: As the Named Nurse for assigned residents, responsible for the oversight, review, and updates of their care profiles.
  • Supervising: The management of your unit's medication ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording, and disposal.

To qualify for this position, you must hold a first-level nursing registration with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN.


As this is a management role, you should also have post-registration experience and/or training or qualifications in management or supervision.
