About the Role

The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Physiotherapist to join our team in the Neurosurgical Department. As a specialist physiotherapist, you will play a key role in the assessment and treatment of patients with long-term neurological conditions, including spasticity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients with complex spasticity, including subjective and objective evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Deliver high-quality clinical interventions, including intrathecal baclofen management and peripheral neurectomy.
  • Participate in the weekly intrathecal baclofen pump refill clinic and support the assessment of patients undergoing nerve block procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to spasticity management and neurosurgical care.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy and registration with the Health & Care Professions Council.
  • Extensive post-registration clinical experience at a senior level, with a focus on neurological and long-term conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Highly developed organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage a complex workload.
