About the Role

The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Physiotherapist to join our team in the Neurosurgical Department. As a specialist physiotherapist, you will play a key role in the assessment and treatment of patients with complex spasticity, working closely with neurosurgeons, neurologists, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with spasticity, including subjective and objective evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and innovative approaches
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on spasticity management and rehabilitation strategies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in spasticity management

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Minimum 3 years of post-registration experience in neurosurgical or neurological physiotherapy
  • Proven expertise in spasticity management and treatment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands
